Agriculture SSW Type 2 Skills Test
The Type 2 agriculture test, for experienced farm workers moving to the higher SSW level. Like Type 1 it has crop farming and livestock versions, and it adds safety and health management.

Who it is for
Type 2 is aimed at people already working in Japanese agriculture who supervise work. Unlike Type 1, the test is only in Japanese.
Who can take it
- At least 17 years old on the test day (18 for Indonesian and Myanmar nationals).
- Candidates testing in Japan need a valid residence status and passport; further experience conditions are set out in the official guidelines.
- After a failed attempt you must wait 45 days before taking the same test again.
