Agriculture SSW Type 1 Skills Test
The Type 1 agriculture test comes in two versions, general crop farming and general livestock farming. It can be taken in 16 languages and includes listening questions about farm instructions given in Japanese.

The listening part
Even if you take the test in your own language, some questions play instructions in Japanese, the way a farm supervisor would give them. JFT-Basic listening practice is useful preparation for these.
Who can take it
- At least 17 years old on the test day (18 for Indonesian nationals).
- Candidates testing in Japan must also meet the conditions in the official implementation guidelines.
- After a failed attempt you must wait 45 days before taking the same test again. This applies even if you switch language.
