JFT-Basic in Myanmar (2026): dates, rules and preparation
Myanmar has its own JFT-Basic rules: a minimum age of 17 on the test day and a separate booking opening time in Myanmar time. Tests are held in Mandalay and Yangon, and the fee is USD 36.

Myanmar nationals must be at least 17 years old on the test day to sit JFT-Basic.
Booking does not open at the same moment as in Japan: in the current window it opens at 13:30 Myanmar time. Check the exact time for each new window, as the booking rules for Myanmar were updated in October 2026.
Accepted ID: Passport only. Accepted payment: Credit cards, debit cards, prepaid cards.
Skills tests in Burmese
The nursing care skills test and the agriculture Type 1 test are available in Burmese. Some skills tests are not held at every Myanmar centre; the SSW list below shows any limits.
