JFT-Basic in Mongolia (2026): test centre, fee and preparation
Mongolian candidates for Japan's Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) visa can prove their Japanese with JFT-Basic. It is held in Ulaanbaatar, and the fee is MNT 125,000.

Mongolia's JFT-Basic tests are held in Ulaanbaatar. If you are coming from Darkhan, Erdenet or the aimags, pick a test day that lets you arrive the day before.
Accepted ID: Passport only. Accepted payment: Voucher.
Skills tests in Mongolian
The nursing care skills test and the agriculture Type 1 test are both offered in Mongolian, which helps with the skills half of the SSW requirement. Construction and most other fields test in Japanese.

For the Specified Skilled Worker visa you need JFT-Basic (or JLPT N4) and a skills test for your job field. These skills tests are listed for Mongolia:
