Construction SSW Type 2 Skills Test
The Type 2 construction test, in the same three categories as Type 1 but longer and with a higher pass mark of 75% on each part. It is held in Japan.

Who it is for
Experienced construction workers in Japan moving to Type 2, which removes the time limit on the stay. Check the organiser's site for the work experience your application needs alongside the test.
Who can take it
- At least 17 years old on the test day (18 for Indonesian nationals).
- Japanese nationals cannot take it.
- One category at a time; a passed category cannot be retaken.
- You can retake 30 days after your previous test.
